291 Group has published Principia Intelligentiae: The Developmental Kernel Architecture, a technical working paper from 291 ART-XL, our Advanced Research and Technology Exploitation Lab.
The paper proposes the Developmental Kernel Architecture (DKA): an AI system that starts from a small language kernel and grows its abilities through interaction, experiment and persistent memory, rather than receiving them all at once through massive pre-training.
The paper is free to read on Zenodo, CERN’s open research repository. Since 1 March 2026 it has also been available from Amazon in paperback and Kindle editions.
